I have set myself goals and celebrated many successes during my time at Step into Life and I have used these as my incentives to go to training, rain, hail and shine. I have also really valued the opportunity to support others reaching their own goals.
10,000 points at Step into Life
I first attended Step into Life supporting a friend, believing that once he had joined officially my job was done. I never intended that nine years
later I would still be a member. I had played netball as a teenager and I had had periods of time during my life doing gym memberships but I never
consistently stuck at this.
I was so unfit when I first started I could not run around an oval without stopping. This was okay because Step into life attracts a variety of people
at different fitness levels and whilst I have never been the fastest I soon became fit enough to keep up with the majority. Like most people I
first started doing as much cardio as I could and then through David Lloyd, Step into Life trainer at Mordialloc I learnt the value of toning and
ensuring a good balance of both. The time and structure of classes has meant discipline for me so each day I race home straight after work and
without giving too much thought to excuses regardless of the weather I know I have to get to Step into Life. I know I always feel great after class
and it grounds me before I go home to start the evening activities.

Step into Life has allowed me to make new friends and some lifelong buddies. As much as I appreciate the physical exercise I also go to Step into Life
to have fun and emotionally cleanse after a taxing day at work. It was David and my Step into Life community that were my greatest strength during
a time of personal adversity 3 years ago where I experienced a house fire. They showed tremendous support and donations to assist me during this
time and I am forever grateful to them. I love that we have social catch ups after key events throughout the year where we relax, have a few drinks
and a good laugh.
Step into Life has become a way of life for me. Over the years attendance at training, morning and evenings has altered depending on the age and stage
of my kids and demands at work which is a reality for us all but it is the sense of community and accountability to myself and others that I have
appreciated most during my time at Step into Life Mordialloc and always gets me back on track to my optimum physical training and emotional well
being.
David has been a great support to me and an exceptional trainer – thanks so very much David.
You certainly have kept me motivated over the years.
