Now at 63 years of age I feel the fittest & healthiest I have ever been, I have made so many new friends, have discovered things about myself, like I can run & so much more.
10,000 points at Step into Life
I joined Step into Life ten years ago last month and am amazed at how time flies when you are having fun. I began with the view that I needed to get
a little bit fitter but I only wanted to attend toning classes, no cardio.
I walked a lot before joining Step into Life but that was as much exercise as I had done and I definitely was not a runner. In my experience over
these past ten years, the trainers, my wonderful training buddies, fun training sessions, lots of laughter have been the reason I keep on going.
Now at 63 years of age I feel the fittest & healthiest I have ever been, I have made so many new friends, have discovered things about myself,
like I can run & so much more. The programs at Step into Life keep the training interesting & doing it outdoors is so enjoyable even when
we whinge about the wind, a little bit of rain etc. it is still much better than indoors.
I have been lucky to have had an amazing group of trainers over the years and it is because of their encouragement and enthusiasm that I have
made it this far. I wish to take this opportunity to thank David for making our sessions fun but still pushing me to achieve a higher goal, although
sometimes I do think it is payback.
To me Step into Life is like a family, I have laughed, cried, celebrated special occasions and shared special times with many of the members some
of which I consider as lifetime friends, what more could a person wish for.
As for what comes next, who knows, another marathon next year, maybe the Master's Games, one thing I have learnt about myself is that you never
know what you are capable of until you give it a go. So hears to the next ten years!
