Our members are a wonderful bunch of people and over time many of them become part of our day to day lives.  Afterall, we see most of our members two or three times a week!

Sometimes the best way to really understand why you should be part of something is by hearing the words of others, so here are a few of our members to tell you how has made a difference to their lives:

Comments about :

Step into Life Runaway Bay has been a real positive life style change for Jill & myself. Before Step Into Life we were real couch potatoes and fitness had been low priority until the realisation of how unfit we had become finally dawned on us. Step into Life has provided us with the motivation, guidance and team spirit to change our lives for the better.

Step into Life has dramatically improved our fitness levels, flexibility and body shape even though we thought we were going to die during the first couple of classes. We have both lost weight but more importantly lost centimetres where we need to. It has provided us with the confidence in ourselves to try new things that we would not have considered trying six months ago such as the Gold Coast 10km run which we both finished much to our amazement but not to our trainers Jay & Ian.

The group training environment is great allowing both social interaction and fun while moving forward towards our individual goals. It provides plenty of motivation from Jay & Ian to improve yourself and also measuring your fitness against other members of the group. The classes have proved varied to keep you fresh and motivated and Jill and I complete cardio, boxing and marathon classes each week.

The continued assessment by Jay & Ian by using training diaries and time trials have given us real feed back on our improved fitness levels. This also gives us great motivation when you can physically see your improvement.
The continued encouragement of our trainers has been the real difference for Jill & myself to achieve our goals. Previously all our good intentions to get fit would soon fade but this time Jay & Ian have kept us on the straight and narrow.

Having improved our fitness and confidence levels has translated into all aspects of our lives allowing us to cope with the stresses of work, family and modern society.

Comments about :

I have been a member of Step Into Life for over two years now and thought it was about time I wrote to tell you about the two fantastic instructors who operate my local franchise in Glenmore Park, NSW. Both are so enthusiastic and committed to their jobs that – dare I say it – exercising becomes a pleasure!

Upon starting Step Into Life classes all that time ago, I could barely keep moving for 60 continuous seconds, but now find that I look forward to our time trial runs and the buzz that comes from pushing yourself hard in a cardio class. As an added bonus I have managed to lose over 30kg and feel fitter than ever before.

The atmosphere during classes has none of the competitiveness or showiness often found in a gym yet I’m always challenged to do my best or “push the envelope” as Deb likes to say! Not only do I get the best advice exercise-wise, but also helpful tips on nutrition and returning to sport following injury. I can honestly say that deciding to join Step Into Life on a sunny afternoon in summer 2001/2002 was one of the best decisions of my life!

I truly feel that I couldn’t have achieved what I have without Deb and Sue and their commitment to and understanding of individual clients. Their passion and professionalism is an inspiration and I hope that this letter goes some way towards showing the recognition they deserve.

Thanks to everyone from Golden Grove Step into Life who encouraged, supported and sponsored me in the recent Adelaide Marathon. Earlier today I received a call from the Muscular Dystrophy Association - the official marathon charity - to say I had won a trip with guaranteed entry into the London Marathon in April next year. Wow, Australia's version of Run Fatboy Run, winding his way along the Thames, past Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and over London Bridge with 40,000 people. This would not have been possible without your fantastic response to my call for sponsors. The generousity of many of you overwhelmed me. The $2500 I raised gave me about 30 tickets in the draw. Golden Grove Step into Life members contributed a signficant amount of this. Again thanks heaps. Now it's time for Step into Life to Rule Britannia! I look forward to many more months of blackened toes, sore knees, and tight hamstrings.

Cheers
Andrew

When I came to Canberra in Sept 1999 I exercised spasmodically on the walking tracks at Yarralumla but was not inspired to continue to exercise by myself.

I then joined Step into Life in Oct 2001. At this time I was extremely depressed as I had been in Canberra for 2 years and had not met any friends and as a single person felt alone and isolated.

I told everyone at the first session that I would not exercise during the colder months as I could not imagine getting out of bed in minus 7 degree temperatures!

I was reassured that I could do it in the winter months. They were correct! Not only did I continue throughout winter, I also completed the City to Surf and various Fun Runs and have meet a wonderful bunch of friends who have lifted my spirits and made my time in Canberra memorable and enriching.

Thank you Step into Life for changing my attitude to Canberra, enriching my life with lifetime friends and keeping me fit and active since Oct 2001

Comments about :

Rob at Step into Life Morphett Vale has turned my life around. I decided to join after feeling depressed, unfit and dissatisfied with my health and lifestyle. This changed very quickly. I felt very welcome and comfortable when I joined up exercising outdoors with friendly people of all ages and fitness levels.
Rob has supported me every step of the way. He offers a tailored individual programme that allows everyone to work at their own level whilst feeling motivated and comfortable. Rob also takes the time to explain the exercises ensuring that we gain results by understanding our bodies and what its is we are trying to achieve.
I sincerely can not speak highly enough about Rob and Step into Life. I am feeling really good and loving exercise. I feel fit and healthy, energised and very positive.
The results speak for themselves.......
Yesterday I ran 10kms in a fun run organised by Rob. Those who know me realise just how far I've come. Until I joined up a few months ago I hadn't run for years and would have thought it to be impossible! The run was great! I ran all the way and felt great after! I am so pleased with myself, Rob and my friends from Step into Life who also ran. I am so grateful to Rob for motivating me to change and grow within myself. I have seen a flow on of these positive results in all aspects of life.
