Jeff and Vanessa have taught me all about moderation and have helped me gain a much more positive attitude to listening to and taking care of my body. Mostly dealing with injury and learning to take time to recover which will be more beneficial in the long term.
Within the year I have lost 16kg and feel the fittest I have ever felt in my life. My goal in March 2011 was to run 3km without stopping and by City to Bay I was running 12km without stopping and still felt like I could keep going!!! I feel like this is only the beginning and that I have so much more left to achieve.
I am getting married to my lovely fiancé Brett in March 2012 and cant wait. We are going on a honeymoon including a 60km trek, kayaking and white water rafting, all which would not be possible if we were not training with Step Into Life.
Thanks so much to Jeff and Vanessa and everyone I train with for motivating me every session and for you positive attitudes. Bring on 2012!

Comments about Step into Life®:
We have been Step into Life members since 2005 and it has been a life changing experience for us. From being couch potatoes to being able to run a ½ marathon. What a positive change to our life style and health.
Group Training is great as it allows both social interaction and fun while all the time moving towards your individual goals. Group training also provides a level of competition with your fellow class mates as you push each other along.
Ian is a great trainer who motivates and encourages you in your training (and kicks you in the butt when necessary) and provides a wide variety of classes to meet your individual goals. Continued assessment using training diaries, fitness tests help quantify your improved fitness, weight loss etc and provides even more motivation to improve yourself and set those goals a little higher.
All Step into Life classes cater for all fitness levels and include those all important warm ups and cool down stretches to reduce the chance of any injury.
So if you want to get fit, loss weight or change your body shape, come and join Ian and the gang at Labrador for fun group personal training..

Comments about Step into Life®:
I joined Step into Life Fulham Gardens in July of this year after seeing the group train at Collins Reserve. I have been a full time worker and mother of two for the past 26 years. The thing that went from my life was exercise as I tried to juggle my working life with my family commitments. As a consequence the weight piled on, fitness dropped away and general health deteriorated. The health issues were minor but beginning to become chronic. I decided it was time to do something about it after my physiotherapist had a go at me. I joined a gym. That was the biggest waste of money. I did not enjoy it at all….. too loud, no individual attention no -one really caring if I was even doing the exercises correctly.
When I first approached Vanessa and Jeff I was nervous. I did not want another failure in the sense that I was determined to do something but I needed help to get started and then maintain it. I wasn’t sure Step into Life would be that different from my gym experience. Even my family thought I wouldn’t last.
It was the best move I have made. I was welcomed from the start not only by the Personal Trainers but by all the members at my sessions. The environment was positive, constructive, encouraging and most importantly FUN. I signed on for 4 sessions a week. I do 2 cardio, 1 boxing and 1 toning. My initial goals were simple. I wanted to get fit, establish some core muscle strength, make exercise part of my life and lose weight with a sensible approach to eating. I wanted Step into Life to become part of my life and not to be viewed as a chore on my part.
Three and a half months later I am enjoying my sessions. I actually look forward to them!! My fitness has improved. I feel better, sleep better and have much more energy. I eat everything in moderation and have a very sensible approach to my diet. As a result I have lost 11kgs. I cannot thank Vanessa and Jeff enough for their encouragement and for providing an environment where everyone feels welcomed no matter what their level of fitness. Collins Reserve is a great place to train in winter and in summer. It is so relaxing to be outdoors and there is so much variety in each of the sessions. All activities are tailored so everyone can do them to their best level.
I have now set some new goals and feel very confident that I will be able to achieve them.

Comments about Step into Life®:
I have been a member of Step Into Life for over two years now and thought it was about time I wrote to tell you about the two fantastic instructors who operate my local franchise in Glenmore Park, NSW. Both are so enthusiastic and committed to their jobs that – dare I say it – exercising becomes a pleasure!
Upon starting Step Into Life classes all that time ago, I could barely keep moving for 60 continuous seconds, but now find that I look forward to our time trial runs and the buzz that comes from pushing yourself hard in a cardio class. As an added bonus I have managed to lose over 30kg and feel fitter than ever before.
The atmosphere during classes has none of the competitiveness or showiness often found in a gym yet I’m always challenged to do my best or “push the envelope” as Deb likes to say! Not only do I get the best advice exercise-wise, but also helpful tips on nutrition and returning to sport following injury. I can honestly say that deciding to join Step Into Life on a sunny afternoon in summer 2001/2002 was one of the best decisions of my life!
I truly feel that I couldn’t have achieved what I have without Deb and Sue and their commitment to and understanding of individual clients. Their passion and professionalism is an inspiration and I hope that this letter goes some way towards showing the recognition they deserve.

Comments about Step into Life®:
Thanks to everyone from Golden Grove Step into Life who encouraged, supported and sponsored me in the recent Adelaide Marathon. Earlier today I received a call from the Muscular Dystrophy Association - the official marathon charity - to say I had won a trip with guaranteed entry into the London Marathon in April next year. Wow, Australia's version of Run Fatboy Run, winding his way along the Thames, past Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and over London Bridge with 40,000 people. This would not have been possible without your fantastic response to my call for sponsors. The generousity of many of you overwhelmed me. The $2500 I raised gave me about 30 tickets in the draw. Golden Grove Step into Life members contributed a signficant amount of this. Again thanks heaps. Now it's time for Step into Life to Rule Britannia! I look forward to many more months of blackened toes, sore knees, and tight hamstrings.
Cheers
Andrew
