2008 Perth City to Surf

Join the thousands of enthusiastic participants in the annual Perth City to Surf Fun Run.
You can either do the 4km or 12km distance finishing at City Beach Oval.
Start training towards this run now.

Climb for a Smile Charity Run

Step into Life WA are pleased to be involved with the Rotary Club's "Climb for a Smile", on Sunday 5 October 2008.

It involves participating in a charity organised event by running / walking up Perth's 2nd largest building, the Bankwest Tower (51 floors).

Gold Coast Marathon Events

You are cordially invited to take part in one of Queensland's largest Fun Runs, the Gold Coast Marathon. There distances for ALL fitness levels from walkers to runners. They are 7.5km, 10km, half Marathon and the full Marathon.

From Mackay to the Sunshine Coast, from Brisbane to the Gold Coast, come along and join in the fun at thios annual Event.

Around Austraila Winter Challenge June to August 2008

Ever traveled around Australia on foot?? Well now is your chance!!!
The more Step into Life sessions and fun runs you attend the more distance you will travel to win the Great Australian Step into Life Challenge!!!

How the program works:
Calculate how far you walk/jog to add more kilometres to your daily tally.

At every session update your distance in your training diary.

At each session, log your weekly kilometres in your training diary and watch your flag make its way around Australia.

What you will need: Your Training Diary (a must!)

Step into Life Session is worth 10 KM
Any half hour cardio is worth 2.5KM
Alcohol/Take Away Food/Chocolate Free Week = 20 KM

Get rewarded for your kilometres!
Reach certain milestones and take home your reward (please check with your trainer).

The 9 Week Winter Challenge From June to August 2008

There are three different programs for you to chose from, each catering to your different individual needs and goals:

Program 1: STEP INTO LIFE ZEN
Focusing on Maintaining your current level of fitness, and staying well this winter (Mind, Body & Soul).

Program 2: STEP INTO LIFE KAPOW!
Improve your Strength and Speed, with this heavy hitting challenge which is sure to keep you piping hot this winter.

Program 3: STEP INTO LIFE WIPE OUT
Keep that winter blanket off this year, by joining in with a sensible and realistic approach to weight loss this winter.

Each program has in session and out of session tasks, which then have point structures allocated to them. These tasks will help keep you motivated and hitting those individual goals of yours.

Each program has a series of A5 inserts for your training diaries, where in you can tally your progress and points scored at the beginning and end of each session.

Step into Life Mini Olympics

The challenge is on for all the Step into Life WA franchises to knock the newly owned Subiaco Franchise off their pirch and take out the trophy in this years Mini Olympics Event.
Come and meet some of the other Step into Lifers and have some fun competing in a number of different events down at the beautiful South Perth Foreshore.
For those of you that like to push yourself, there will be a 2, 4 and 6 km Fun Run and for those of you that just like to have fun we will cater for that also.
So start planning your war cries for your group as there will be points awarded to the best cheersquad this year.

SA Weekend Away

Some great feedback from some of our clients from the Weekend Away held last weekend at Victor Harbour. See below -

We just wanted to drop you a line to acknowledge all the hard work that went into a fantastic health and fitness weekend away in Victor Harbour, April 18/20.

We thoroughly enjoyed the entire weekend which was made up of various activities such as endurance runs, kick boxing, toning, stretch and flex, walks and boot camp. To pick our favourite activity would be impossible as everything we did was brilliant. We both participated in the endurance run bright and early on the Saturday morning achieving amazing improvements in our running times and distance.

Socially all who attended were really friendly, very easy to talk to and lots of fun, particularly during the interesting games that our instructors came up with during dinner.

We would like to thank the amazing efforts of all the instructors who did a great job of coordinating between 60 and 70 people and still making all the activities hard work but fun. They include Matt Sparkman, Andrew Lee, Annki Maxe, Heidi Bunce and Mike Cooke (Heidi and Mike who became fondly known as “Sir, yes Sir”).
