Quick & Easy Breakfasts For Weight-Loss Success

Skipping meals is never a good weight-loss strategy, especially when it comes to breakfast! We all know that eating in the morning wakes up your metabolism, helping you to burn more calories throughout the day. A solid first meal of the day will also help to keep you feeling satiated for longer, meaning you’re less likely to reach for a mid-morning muffin. If you’re working toward a weight-loss goal, then mix up your breakfast routine and give one of these ridiculously easy and delicious brekkie ideas a go!

Avocado on toast with smoked salmon
A breakfast that takes next to no time to prepare, and is full of protein and good fats. Simply spread ¼ an avocado on two slices of toasted wholegrain bread, and top with 50 grams of smoked salmon and some freshly cracked black pepper. Ta-da! Add a squeeze of fresh lemon or a few thin slices of red onoion if you’re feeling fancy.

Banana and walnut porridge
This bowl of warm and creamy heaven takes less than 5 minutes to toss together, and will have you powering through the day ahead! Add ½ cup of rolled oats and ½ cup of water to a saucepan, and bring to boil over medium while stirring, until thick and creamy. Once it’s ready, stir in ½ cup of low fat milk and sprinkle with cinnamon and top with a small amount of chopped walnuts and almond flakes to serve.

Berry delicious smoothie
Sip the kilos away with this sweet smoothie! Whizz 1 cup low fat milk, 100g frozen mixed berries, and 50g rolled oats together in your blender, and you’re good to go! This can be a great one to pack into a mason jar with a lid and straw and carry with you to work if you’re in a rush.

Eggs and spinach on toast
The name says it all! Pack some protein into your morning with this eggy brekkie. Prepare 2 eggs as you please (poached, scrambled or fried), sauté 2 large handfuls of fresh green spinach with half a teaspoon of garlic mince, and serve with 1 piece of wholegrain toast, sprinkled with some fresh cracked black pepper. Easy enough for a weekday morning!
