With less days left on 2016's calendar than we'd like to admit to - it's time to pull the diaries out and book a sweat date in before the silly season kicks in! There's still plenty of time to add some 'race bling' to your collection and some new memories to the timeline!

VICTORIA

Marysville Marathon Festival
6 November 2016

The Marysville Marathon Festival features running events of 4km, 10km, 21km half marathon, 42km marathon and a 50km ultra marathon on scenic valley trails and forest tracks, bypassing sparkling rivers and waterfalls. Walkers join in the shorter distances.

Run4Fi
13 November 2016

Step into Life Beaumaris' very own fun run in remembrance of their member Fiona Shulman. Distances: 5km, 10km, 15km and 21km.
No Entry fee but a small donation towards Leukemia Foundation will be graciously accepted - come and join the fun, members of the public and Step into Lifers from any venue are all warmly welcome

Eureka Climb
13 November 2016

Eureka Climb in Melbourne, Victoria is Australia's biggest vertical race at the Eureka Tower to raise money for charity. Enter individually or create a team of four to either walk or run (climb) the 1,642 stairs to the top.

Moustache Dash Virtual Run

The Moustache Dash is a Virtual Run in Australia. Run 5km, 10km, a 21km half marathon, 42km full marathon or 50km ultra marathon to support The Movember Foundation. This charity is committed to men's health with projects focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and suicide prevention. If you can't run on this day, that's ok. You can run on another day. However, if participants are completing their runs on one particular day of the month it can encourage and motivate people to actually get out and do it. It's all about completing your run to get fit, healthy and active.

Run in the Dark

Run in the Dark in Melbourne, is part of a worldwide run at 8pm local time over 24 hours in mid-November.
There are official events in Dublin, Cork, Belfast, London and Manchester and local city champions organising pop up events throughout the rest of the world.

Tough Mudder
19 & 20 November 2016

The Tough Mudder event at St Anne's Vineyard in Myrniong, Victoria features a hardcore 18-20 km obstacle course with 18 to 20 obstacles designed by British Special Forces to test your all around strength, stamina, mental grit, and camaraderie. The 2016 event sees the addition of a "Half" with 14 obstacles over 10km.
This course truly has it all: a ready-built off-road track with thick, neck deep mud; soul-destroying hills; plenty of dams and natural creeks; and unforgiving, undulating terrain that will have your legs begging for mercy. They're also bringing their brand-new, never-before-seen-in-Victoria obstacles, direct from the States.

City2Sea

The Sunday Age City2Sea is the final event of the City Run Series, with this final event taking place in Melbourne, Victoria; events include 5km and 15km distances.

RunGeelong
20 November 2016

Run Geelong has 12km 6km and 3km fun run and walk events and a kids 1km run following a course around Geelong in Victoria. Both the 6km and 12km courses will see you running the streets of Geelong taking in the stunning surrounds of the Waterfront and through the Eastern Gardens.

Afterglow Twilight Trail Half Marathon

Afterglow is the only dedicated twilight to night trail half marathon in Australia, following a magical course along the Surf Coast Walk, in Victoria. The course is non-technical and well sign posted. While offering plenty of great trails for experienced trail runners, it is also perfect for road runners looking to get a little dirty with their running. 21km and 12km distances available

Run for the Young
27 November 2016

Run for the Young is a marathon charity fundraiser in Lilydale, Victoria. The event is run by the Bridge Builders Youth Organisation to raise funds to assist them in continuing the valuable work the Charity already does in the local community.
Course distances include 42km, 21km, 10km, and 5km.

Spartan Race
26 & 27 November 2016

The Spartan Race Trifecta in Bright, Victoria has 7km "Sprint" and 14km "Super" obstacle courses on Saturday and 21km "Beast" and 42km "Ultra Beast" races on Sunday. It's going to be a fantastic challenge and celebration for rookies, kids, athletes and Spartan contenders of all ages and abilities as we lay on races over all 4 distances surrounded by some of the highest peaks in Australia.
There'll be special events throughout the weekend in the charming alpine town of Bright. A place with more than its fair share of bikes and breweries, knockout landscapes and punishing trails.

The Color Run

The Color Run™ 5k at Flemington Racecourse in Melbourne, Victoria is a unique experience focused less on speed and more on crazy color fun with friends and family. Wear a white shirt and get covered in colour as you run and at the end. By the end, you will look like you fell into a Willy Wonka... tie dyed... vat of colored goodness.

Summer Series Orienteering: Stringybark Creek
2 November 2016

The Sydney Summer Series Stringybark Creek event at Tantallon Oval in Tantallon is one of a series of running events timed over 45 minutes that involve visiting a variety of local features, or checkpoints. These checkpoints are marked on orienteering maps that are used to help navigate your way around the local parks, streets and bush tracks where the events are held.
The checkpoints have different score values and the runners with the highest scores at the end of 45 minutes (in their age classes) are the winners. The Summer Series events are for everyone, attracting walkers and joggers through to champion runners. If you like running or walking with a navigational challenge, you will love the Summer Series.

Paddy Pallin Urban Series

The Paddy Pallin Urban in Sydney, NSW is part adventure race, part scavenger hunt and part amazing race, taking teams of two through the heart of the city. This event is for all skill and fitness levels, with a number of the activities needing more brainpower than muscle.

Jacaranda Festival Fun Run

The Jacaranda Festival Fun Run is part of the annual Jacaranda Festival held in Grafton, NSW. The fun run has 2.4km, 5km and 10km events. Renowned for its friendly atmosphere and scenic course this is a growing event not to be missed. Runners and walkers are equally welcome.

Red Bull Dune Dusters

Red Bull Dune Dusters is an approximately 10km race over some of the biggest sand dunes in Australia on the iconic Stockton Beach.
Dune Dusters challenges participants to race through strategically placed gates before crossing the finish line. A physically and mentally challenging race, each participant must choose to either travel the shorter distance directly up the steep sand dunes or decide on the longer route with less incline.
With a backdrop of wide open blue skies and sand as far as the eye can see, this sacred site is home to the local Worimi indigenous people and access to this area is a privilege for competitors who enter the race. The event is just a two hour drive north of Sydney.

Colour Ya World – Central Coast

The Dye Hard Colour Run at Lion's Berry Park in Bathurst, NSW is a fun 5km event designed for everyone of all ages and all abilities: laugh, dance and run your way to a fun filled day. Entry includes participation in event, one free sachet of colour to use in the group colour throws at the end, wonderful photo opportunities and LOTS of colour along the way. Music, fun and prizes at the finish line.

Freedom Trail Run

The Freedom Trail Run is a 5km, 13km, 25km, 35km and 50km run at Nightcap National Park in the Byron Bay Hinterland in NSW. The Nightcap National Park is beautiful warm temperate and subtropical rainforest with amazing views from the top of nearby water falls (Minyon Falls) high up in the Byron Bay hinterland.

ObstaSplash
19 & 20 November 2016

ObstaSplash at the Mingara Athletics Centre in Tumbi Umbi, NSW is a 5km obstacle course on flat ground with multiple inflatable obstacles such as the ObstaScream, ObstaBlueBalls and ObstaDance stations (giant inflatable dance floors) with themed music to get your groove on.
There's no mud or technical obstacles, just inflatables, slides, soapy water (for extra speed). The obstacles are a little cheeky, a little challenging, but most of all a lot of fun.

Balmain Fun Run

The Belle Property Balmain Fun Run is firmly established as one of Sydney's favourite community fun runs. Challenge yourself through the beautiful undulating grounds of historic Callan Park in Rozelle. The run offers a 2km (for primary school children), 5km and a challenging 10km course. Loads of free activities for the kids and an idyllic location all add up to a fun day for the family and serious runners alike.

The Pub2Pub Run Albury is a 9km run/walk from Springdale Heights Tavern to Brady's Railway Hotel.
The event will be an annual fixture on the local calendar, supporting a great cause in the local PCYC organisation. Each year the event will alternate direction, so 2017 will see the event start at Brady's Railway Hotel and finish at Springdale Heights Tavern.

The Bare Creek Trail Run includes a 2km dash, 6km family walk / run and 10km run which weaves its way through the picturesque fire trails of the Garigal National Park in St Ives, Sydney. This popular fun run is ideal for the more serious runner or fast walker; as well as being a great introduction to trail running/walking for those just starting out. It is appropriate for the whole family.

The Tamborine Mountain Hinterland Sports Festival is an annual mass participation sports event held on top of the Tamborine National Park over one weekend each November. The Long Walk Home

The Long Walk Home is an approximately 50km walk from Wellington to Raumati gibing workers and students the opportunity in the case of a disaster to prepare for the long walk home. The 50km is walked over 2 days, covering about 25km each day.

The Pet Essentials Jog 4 Dogs in Whangarei will be a fun day out for all the family, including all the four legged family members, on this walk, run or jog around the Hatea Loop Track. This event is a major fundraiser for the Whangarei SPCA.

Tarawera Trail Marathon
12 November 2016

The third annual Tarawera Trail Marathon and 50k run and walk is on November 12th 2016, and this year incorporates the Tikitapu Trail Run – and includes 50km, 42km, 23km, and 16km events. This spectacular run and walk will start at Pohutu Geyser in the Whakarewarewa Thermal Field, Te Puia. From there, it's 'full steam ahead' through Hemo Gorge and following Puarenga Stream into the heart of Whakarewarewa Forest. Following the hidden corners of Green Lake takes you to the views from the ridgetop on Woodstock Farm. Running past the sheep and back along the shores of Rotokakahi (Green Lake), it's 15km along the new Tarawera Trail.  With views of Lakes Tarawera and Rotomahana along the way, you'll finish right under Mt Tarawera - at Hot Water beach where you can soak in the natural hot water pool or jump in the lake. A scenic boatride and bus takes you back home.

Corporate Challenge
23 November 2016

The Fidelity Life Corporate Challenge at the Domain in Auckland is a 5km run, jog or walk organised exclusively for business or professional organisations and dedicated to the health, fitness and well-being of your employees. Companies enter as a team and all teams start together and run the same course at each venue. The first three men in your team contribute to the male team time, and the first three women contribute to the female team time.
